Prof. Bidisha Ghosh (PI) is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering, TCD. She is an expert of natural system behaviour prediction using statistical methods, time-series modelling, artificial intelligence algorithms, sustainable transportation and health impact assessment of active travel. She is the Chair of the Irish Transport Research Network (ITRN). She has published over 100 peer-reviewed journal and conference articles. She is the PI of several national and European research projects.
Prof. Brian Caulfield is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering, Trinity College Dublin. He has been active in transport research for over 10 years and to date has attracted €1.2m in research funding from both National and EU funding sources. He has widely published on transport and its impacts on the environment, he has published over 80 journal and conference papers and has a H factor of 21. Prof Caulfield sits on the Transport Statistics Liaison Group (Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport and the Central Statistics office), both of which will be useful to obtain information and disseminate findings from the Greening Transport Project.
Dr. Ajinkya S. Mane is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Civil, structural and Environmental Engineering, Trinity College Dublin. He has completed his PhD. in Infrastructure and Environmental Systems at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (USA). He earned his master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from India. Before joining the PhD. program, he worked as a Project Associate at the National Institute of Technology, Surat, India (NIT-Surat) on the development of guidelines for Indian Highway Capacity Manual. He has published over ten journal and conference papers. His areas of interest are transportation planning, traffic safety, and traffic operations.
